Vivid colors – BURANO

After seeing the most romantic place in the world we headed up north to see the one that could be the most colourful. Only a 40-minute vaporetto ride and you will find this highly photogenic island where every colour of the rainbow is represented, called Burano.

It is known for its brightly coloured homes, coloured in a way that it feels almost tropical. Legend says that originally they were painted by island’s fishermen so that they could see them in thick fog. Nowadays, they are keeping the traditions and the funny thing is, if you live on the island and wish to paint your house, you must send a request to the government, which responds by making a note of the colours permitted for that specific lot of houses. No two cribs next to each other can ever be the same! This made me laugh haha and it also made me feel a burst of positive energy. So vivid, yet tiny but what’s best, not so crowded โ€“ especially if you compare it to Veniceโ€™s streets and alleys, sometimes so full of people you canโ€™t even walk through them. Go and explore!

  4. Can you tell us more about this? I’d like to find out some additional information.

  5. With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? My blog has a lot of unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any methods to help stop content from being ripped off? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
